Ginger how is your sister doing? Hope her surgery went well and she's recovering Ok. I've been meaning to ask.
Snoopy Mom it's been nice to see that you're still around SSF! I know you were going to update your iOS sometime soon.

Yeah, I'm still so busy after having been gone for a month (over the holidays), that I haven't gotten that far yet. Nor am I currently in the mood to learn any new iOS tricks right now, if you know what I mean. (lol!)
That said, I am also debating picking up a new iPad since mine is now over 5 years old, then just hang on to the old one for awhile and leave it on iOS 9 so I can still play a bit longer for no good reason. We'll see...
Stay safe today! I am soooo over winter and it's only the first part of February!!

Well it's nice to "see you around" when I go into SSF! SSF is on my first iPad, 6 years old. Still works fine for that and a few other games. I'm really glad that I never transferred it to a newer one because then I'd have the iOS 11 dilemma too. I did go to iOS 11 on my Air and I'm always messing up with the swiping and the split screen, and I'm not crazy about the new App Store format, but otherwise it's Ok.
I'm totally over this sleet/freezing rain/ice stuff we've been getting for hours! Wish it had just stayed all snow. I slipped on ice on my deck stairs a year ago today so it's kind of deja vu.... never want to do that again! I don't think BF can even shovel it, it's like 6" of slush and temp in the teens tonight so it will be solid in the morning. I may have to sit on a piece of cardboard and slide down my driveway! β·πβΈπ¦ Hope you're doing Ok up your way!
And how is your Mom doing? Hope she's recovering well!
-
So yeah...I was over Winter by the time I got back to NH from MI the first part of January. (lol!) Now we have rain, rain and more rain. Lots of folks are experiencing flooding in ways they've not seen before (in garages, basements, etc.) Not sure how one wins in the weather category... (To that end...no idea where we will ever retire to, because I need it to either be Spring or Fall pretty much every day--no humidity; very little snow--holidays only. lol!)
Mom is doing alright; thanks for asking. Still regaining strength, but resting as needed. She just first ventured back into driving recently, but weather out her way has been so cold and snowy, that she's done very little--doc visits and groceries mainly.
I have begun looking into new iPads this past week. Not sure which way to go; just know I do not wish to have a "mini". Hmmmm...

The flower castle is bigβI was wondering about that. I used a lot of space with the Red Baron stuff we had to get and Iβve been trying to fit this yearβs Valentine stuff into my existing Valentine square. Guess that will have to go somewhere else! It is cute though. And I kind of like the βmystery giftsβ theyβre doing now from these things. I have one more caramel waffle and then I have to play the scene 5 times. Thought I was ready for that until I saw that it needs the Valentines gift each time. Have to work on making those now. Thanks for the pics Ah Piggy! β€οΈπ

Very nice. Are you limited to one flower castle or can you get multiple?

Lila has quests, yes. You need to buy a few things with coins and make Valentine items for them. She comes in handy for making chocolate bars and waffles, walnuts too if you don't get the trees. I don't know what her items will be after Valentine's Day. But I think that we needed chocolate bars last Easter too so I'm trying to stock up.π«

That sounds like a good plan. Thanks for all of the Lila intell.

Hi all ... Yesterday was 2 weeks after my sister's surgery. Because they found cancer int the first lymph node, they took out a total of 10 instead of the 2 as anticipated. The other 9 were negative ... Thank You Lord. She had her drains taken out 2 days ago, so now she can do a lot more for herself and start healing more quickly. We have an appointment tiday with a lymphedema specialist for evaluation and directions on exercise for prevention and skin care. Next Tuesday the 20th is the first visit to oncologist. That will start chemo or anti-estrogen hormone program. Hoping for the latter as it would work better with her piano teaching. Might even require more testing ... Not sure. I'll reevaluate my departure after the 20th and will definitely not leave while she can't drive.
cat ... Thanks for my Valentine yesterday ...

Scott and Karen Iβve been meaning to ask if you were expecting a bunch of celebrities in your fairs, or having a bunch of weddings! You both have your photographers stationed and ready in your squares. Geesh I probably missed some big event. Hope you got good pics! πΈπ₯
